Dr. Kristine Lo Joins Mass. Eye and Ear

BOSTON – (April 23, 2015) – Kristine Tan Lo, MD, a board-certified ophthalmologist, has joined Massachusetts Eye and Ear to provide comprehensive eye care and cataract surgery.
Dr. Lo is a full-time member of Mass. Eye and Ear's Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cataract Consultation Service where she specializes in cataract surgery and treats patients for a variety of routine and complex eye conditions, including cataracts, conjunctivitis, dry eye, blepharitis, glaucoma and pink eye. Dr. Lo pursued her medical degree, residency and cornea subspecialty training in her native Philippines. She went on to complete a clinical fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mass. Eye and Ear before matriculating into the HMS Department of Ophthalmology Residency Training Program. Dr. Lo's research interests have included infantile hemangioma and human meibomian gland dysfunction and her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Lo teaches and mentors medical students, residents, and fellows at HMS. As a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Lo directly supervise residents in clinic as well as in the operating room as they learn the intricacies of cataract surgery and other ophthalmic procedures. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Massachusetts Medical Society.
