Massachusetts Eye and Ear’s Dr. James Chodosh Promoted to Harvard Medical School Professor of Ophthalmology

Chodosh 20headshot 20web 203Boston -- (March. 7, 2011) -- Ophthalmologist Dr. James Chodosh, a resident of Boston, Mass., has been promoted to Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Chodosh joined the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in 2008 as a member of both the hospital’s Cornea Service, where he currently serves as the Fellowship Director, and the Howe Laboratory, in which he conducts his scientific research.

Dr. Chodosh received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency. He completed a fellowship program at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, focusing on Corneal and External Diseases and Surgery. His clinical and research interests include ocular surface and corneal infections, ocular surface tumors, corneal transplantation and keratoprosthesis (artificial cornea) for the corneal blind.

Miller, Chief of Ophthalmology at Mass. Eye and Ear and Mass. General Hospital, and Chair of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School.
