Board-certified in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery with 30 years of experience in the community, Dr. Peter Friedensohn serves as Medical Director of Otolaryngology at Mass. Eye and Ear South Suburban Center in Quincy, Massachusetts. He earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 1980 prior to completing a surgical internship at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, Massachusetts in 1981. He then went into general practice at the National Health Service Corps Newmarket Health Center in New Hampshire until moving to New York in 1983 to complete his residency in otolaryngology at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, where he was a Chief Resident until 1986. Dr. Friedensohn is a past President of the Mass Society of Otolaryngology and a former Chief of Surgery at Milton Hospital.
Dr. Friedensohn serves on the Board of Surgeons at Mass. Eye and Ear and is a member of many national otolaryngology organizations. In addition to practicing general otolaryngology, he specializes in sinus disorders, especially the medical treatment of failed sinus surgeries. His clinical expertise includes the sinus, nasal polyps and treatment, and treatment of sleep apnea.
