If you have any questions regarding insurance or financing, please contact your physician’s office. Mass. Eye and Ear’s financial counselors are also available to answer any questions we cannot answer.
Registering as a patient with Mass. Eye and Ear
When booking your first appointment, our office will first need to assist you in registering with the hospital. You will be transferred briefly to Mass. Eye and Ear’s registration office, and an associate will collect your insurance and personal information.
Ensuring Insurance Coverage
Depending on your type of coverage, you may be asked to get a referral from your primary care physician to see a specialist in the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division.
If you plan to have surgery at Mass. Eye and Ear, we will contact your insurance company beforehand to ensure coverage.
If there is any change in your insurance coverage (even something as small as slightly changing your coverage within the same insurance company), please notify us immediately by calling Mass. Eye and Ear’s registration office at 617-573-4200.
Payment for cosmetic office visits or those not covered by insurance is collected on the day of your visit. For cosmetic procedures not covered by insurance, full payment is due five business days in advance of the procedure.
We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.
