The Cornea and Refractive Surgery Services of Mass. Eye and Ear have New England’s most advanced diagnostics and digital-imaging technology. Our full-time team of skilled specialists accepts referrals from the general ophthalmic community. Results are immediately available on all procedures with interpretive reports available as needed.

  • Confocal microscopy: Used to focus through the entire range of a human cornea – especially for positive diagnosis of Acanthamoeba and Fungal Keratitis
  • Slit-lamp Biomicrography: Isolates specific pathology of the cornea, iris and lens to document and track progression over time
