Research Summary

Dr. Song is a clinician scientist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He is part of the K12 Program and works under the guidance of Drs. Lloyd Paul Aiello and Louis Pasquale. His research focuses on utilizing telemedical methods for glaucoma screening and evaluation. Currently, he is conducting exploratory studies in manual and automated methods for optic nerve evaluation and imaging for glaucomatous features which can be utilized for remote glaucoma screening. In addition, he is also evaluating remote visual function tests with the potential to supplement nonmydriatic optic nerve imaging for teleglaucoma evaluation.
