Otolaryngology Centers of Excellence
Imagine bringing the full complement of intellectual resources of Harvard Medical School to bear on solving some of the most difficult problems in otolaryngology. That's the idea behind the Mass. Eye and Ear Centers of Excellence, which draws talent from myriad disciplines and employs a comprehensive team approach to developing solutions.

We are seeking Campaign funds to add capacity to these Centers of Excellence and to create the first-of-its-kind Neurofibromitosis 2 (NF2) Research and Treatment Center. People come from all parts of the world to Mass. Eye and Ear to seek treatment for NF2, which is a rare, debilitating condition characterized by a litany of medical issues, including: auditory nerve dysfunction, tumors, facial nerve paralysis, tinnitus, deafness and a shortened life span. The NF2 Research and Treatment Center will be relentlessly pursue the underlying causes of NF2 with the ultimate goal of developing targeted therapies to cure this life-limiting condition.
Our Campaign goal for the NF2 Center is $10 million and includes a Chair for the Center's director, recruitment packages for scientists, lab renovations and an infusion of research funds.
