Dr. Whitman is a board-certified neurologist with more than 20 years of experience as an otoneurologist (a neurologist specializing in dizziness and balance disorders).

Following his graduation from medical school at the University of Connecticut and residency training in neurology at Boston City Hospital and Tufts Medical School, Dr. Whitman completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in otoneurology at the University of California at Los Angeles. He then served on the full-time faculty at the University of California at Irvine, where he directed all of the neurology education programs for students and residents. He is now an Instructor in Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Whitman's interests include benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), Mal de Debarquement (MDD), vestibular migraine, Meniere's disease, and all other causes of dizziness.
