About Me
As a member of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cataract Consultation Service at Mass. Eye and Ear, Dr. Borboli-Gerogiannis treats patients with a variety of ophthalmic conditions, specializing in cataract surgery and corneal disease.
Dr. Borboli-Gerogiannis performs the ophthalmologic exams for patients enrolled in the Bone Marrow Transplant Survivorship Clinic and other clinical trials at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She also coordinates the Cataract Surgery Database of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Service.
As a medical educator, Dr. Borboli-Gerogiannis' primary focus is training second-year residents in cataract surgery. She provides OR training and is part of the team that developed the Mass. Eye and Ear Cataract MasterTM, an innovative computer-based training curriculum to help teach residents cataract surgery. She participates in resident education both in the clinic and operating room and is involved in resident education as the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Service Curriculum advisor and one of the core Wet Lab preceptors. She is also Co-director of the Annual Harvard Medical School Intensive Cataract Surgery Training Course
