Our Pediatric Staff
Ophthalmologists:
A pediatric ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who provides diagnoses for pediatric patients with eye problems and performs surgery. Often pediatric ophthalmologists have additional training in treating adults with strabismus.

Pediatric Optometrist:
A pediatric optometrist is an optometrist with additional training in evaluating children’s eye conditions, including those who fail vision screenings.

Orthoptist:
An orthoptist is a highly skilled individual who works with the pediatric eye team in the diagnosis and medical management of strabismus, diplopia (double vision), and amblyopia in children and adults.
Ophthalmology Residents:
As a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, Mass. Eye and Ear ophthalmology residents are degreed medical doctors who are training to become ophthalmologists. They are closely supervised by the Pediatric Eye team.
