Triple Endoscopy (Laryngoscopy, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy)

It may be determined that you child needs further, more extensive, assessment of their symptoms. The team will then refer you for a triple endoscopy which will occur under anesthesia, in the operating room.

This procedure involves putting your child to sleep and using a flexible tube with a camera on the end to directly visualize the larynx (voice box), bronchi (breathing tubes) and esophagus (swallowing tube).
During this procedure, several laboratory tests and cultures may also be obtained for diagnostic purposes.
