The Pediatric Airway, Voice and Swallowing Center provides seamless care for pediatric voice disorders across multiple medical subspecialties, including pediatric otolaryngology, gastroenterology, pulmonology and speech pathology, as well as a full range of diagnostic testing services.
Using a multidisciplinary approach, the center enhances the diagnosis, management, and communication of voice disorders, feeding and swallowing issues, and airway problems with primary care providers.
A Collaborative, Stress-Free Environment
We know that the time of your child's diagnosis and treatment can be very stressful. Our open and welcoming team strives to reduce stress by working together and consulting many different disciplines in a cohesive, coordinated manner.
Parents, along with primary care providers, become our partners in their child's care and have an active voice in all treatment plans. We want each parent to have his or her questions answered, that way we can use their input to decide which members of the team should see a particular child. That may be one member, a few, or the whole team depending on the child and his or her issue.
Newborns and children coming to the Pediatric Airway, Voice and Swallowing Center will be seen by multiple providers on the same day as necessary. Endoscopic and/or imaging procedures can be combined into the same appointment, too. We want to make sure every child has the best team put together to see them.
