Sleep Disorder Specialists
The Mass. Eye and Ear Sleep Disorder Specialists include ear, nose and throat physicians with special experience and expertise in sleep problems. They are trained and equipped to investigate and treat airway-related sleep disorders – most commonly obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. In addition to a full ear, nose and throat physical exam, Specialists at Mass. Eye and Ear ask probing questions about sleeping and waking habits. The interview combined with the results of the physical exam and evidence gathered from the sleep partner helps to determine if sleep apnea is suspected. The next step is a formal sleep study. The sleep disorders team uses this information to make an accurate diagnosis and to help plan for treatment.
