Meet the support staff of The Carolyn and Peter Lynch Center for Laser and Reconstructive Surgery.
“The Carolyn and Peter Lynch Center for Laser and Reconstructive Surgery has become a very meaningful addition to the Division of Facial Plastics. The combination of varied medical treatments provides a unique continuum of care for our patients. My responsibilities here include overseeing the flow of the Center, as well as dealing with individual patient needs such as care coordination, assistance with complex insurance issues, and patient advocacy. My greatest pleasure here is to witness the disappearance of a child’s birthmark.”
“I have worked with Dr. Tan for almost 20 years and assisted with the transition from Dr. Tan’s individual practice to the multidisciplinary approach that we are now able to offer our patients.
My primary focus is on our patients. I assist our patients in all aspects of their care; from scheduling appointments, assisting with insurance issues/questions, to welcoming them to our office and helping to ensure their comfort and peace of mind at the time of their treatment. I enjoy getting to know our patients and their families on a personal level as they progress through their treatment.”
“My love of all things skin related and positive attitude make dermatology and working with lasers a great fit for me. Each patient is unique and it is great to get to know them as they proceed through treatment. I hope that here in our new center at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary we will connect with other specialties and expand our use of lasers. My co-workers and I have great chemistry and that translates into higher quality care for all our patients.”
“I joined the laser center in May 2012, my background being in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. The most rewarding part for me in working in the Laser Center is in knowing how many people we are helping every day, adults and children alike. I love working with the children who are treated here and helping to make their experience as comfortable as possible. What I love most about nursing in the field of laser dermatology is being able to participate daily in an evolving field and applying this knowledge to teaching patients and their families. In my short time here I have seen that a lot of the work being done has been life changing for some patients, and it’s very fulfilling as a nurse to be a part of that.
From a cosmetic dermatology perspective, I enjoy the time I am able to spend discussing the products and procedures we offer here with patients. It is very satisfying to see the patients happy with the improvement in their skin as a result of these treatments. I also really enjoy working at Massachusetts Eye and Ear as an organization, as it has enabled me to learn and observe the latest techniques in treating disorders associated with the various specialty services provided here.”
