Our Optical Shop offers frames and lens packages starting at $59.95. Our lens options include state-of the-art technology, including Polycarbonate, Trivex, Hi-Index, Aspheric, and Progressive (no-line bifocal) lenses.  We  offer many designer frames from our inventory of approximately 1,300 frames.

Our opticians have extensive experience filling difficult and unusual prescriptions while working closely with doctors from many of our specialty ophthalmology services. We also welcome patients with eyeglass prescriptions from doctors outside of Mass Eye and Ear.

We pride ourselves on our attention to personal needs, the quality of our work, and the knowledge and experience of our staff. We offer a wide range of accessories including Fresnel prisms, Bangerter Occlusion Foils, Ptosis crutches, moisture chambers and an array of clip-ons, flip-ups, cleaners and cords.

Often, we can make single vision glasses the same day you bring us the prescription, depending on your needs.  Bifocals and other special orders may require several days or longer to complete.

Sunglasses

High quality polarized lenses protect your eyes from the harmful effects of the sun’s rays. Polarized lenses also provide sharper vision while significantly reducing glare, which is a must for driving and outdoor activities. By significantly reducing glare, polarized lenses allow you to be in the sun without squinting, reducing eye strain and tension.

Some of the polarized lenses we carry are:

  • Maui Jim
  • 7Eyes
  • Cocoons
  • Vistona
  • Polar Eyes
