Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cataract Consultation

The Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cataract Consultation Service provides primary eye care and cataract surgery for patients at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and at One Joslin Place in the Beetham Eye Institute of Joslin Diabetes Center.

There are more than 20,000 patient visits each year to the Comprehensive service, located in downtown Boston on the first floor of Mass. Eye and Ear and in our Longwood area office at Joslin Diabetes Center. Our primary care ophthalmologists provide complete eye care and specialize in cataract surgery.

  • Routine annual eye and vision exams
  • Prescriptions for eyeglasses and referrals for contact lens fittings
  • Management of a variety of common eye problems, including:
