Room Schedules Room View & Capabilities
The Meltzer Auditorium

 

 

Meltzer:

 

Podium Computer:

-         Access to Mass. Eye and Ear network drives with employee username and password

-         Local account with username: meltzer, password: meltzer; log on to: (this computer)

 

Podium Laptop Connection (VGA and HDMI):

-         Connect to any PC-based laptop via VGA or HDMI cable.

o       Mac laptops will need a VGA or HDMI adaptor to connect to system

 

Audio Conferencing:

-         Built-in room phone controls via the AMX touch panel.

 

Wireless Microphones:

-         Room equipped with 4 individual wireless microphones.

o      Each channel can either be used as a handheld microphone and a lavelier microphone.

                  o      24-hour notification is need to reserve the microphones.

 

Assisted Listening:

-         Room equipped with dual infra-red transmitters for assisted listening

o       Both portable headsets and t-coil loops are available upon request for use with room-assisted listening system.

 

 

Video Conferencing:

-         Tandberg C40 video conferencing unit;

o       Video-conferencing calls can be made up to 5 far-end sites in full HD.

o       Video conferencing calls can be made up to 11 far-end sites in non-HD.

o       Content (images from the PC or laptop) will be displayed on main screen, and far-end video feeds will be displayed on 65" monitors.

o       Video recording of conferences with video and content available upon request based on availability.

§         48-hour notice must be given to the Audio Visual Department for all intended video conferencing calls.  An Audio Visual Department staff member must be present to initiate and end the call.
