Research Administration actively promotes sponsored research growth and is committed to supporting excellence and innovation in research. Emphasis is placed on timely and proactive customer service, fiscal management, compliance and research administration expertise.
Research Administration is responsible for submitting applications and managing all grants awarded to Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass. Eye and Ear. Funding comes from a variety of sources, including federal, state, private and industrial sponsors.
The department works closely with investigators and research administrators in all phases of grant and contract management, from proposal development to grant closeout, including grant financial accounting.
The services we offer include pre- and post-award assistance, contract negotiation, and related regulatory compliance.
Research Administration is responsible for establishing internal policies and procedures related to research, building a knowledgeable and team-oriented research administration workforce, and coordinating audits of research activities.
