On-line Journals
101 of our print journals are also available electronically through Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Additionally, many journals that we do not own are available digitally to our staff through Harvard or Partners. A username and password provided by each institution is required for use of the digital journals.

Archival
The library owns more than 40 titles, both foreign and domestic, with holdings from the 19th century. Some are located in the main library, but most are in storage.

Services:

Copier Service
The library has one copier available for use. Self-copy is 15 cents per black and white copy or 25 cents per color copy.

Computer
Public-access computer: the library also provides a computer that does not require a password for use. This is intended for short-term use (15 minutes or less) by visiting students, lecturers, patients and families, and any staff who do not have other access.

The Abraham Pollen Archives:
The Abraham Pollen Archives contain the historical records and papers of the hospital, including annual reports, from the 1800s to the present, many of the old case reports, an extensive photograph collection, board records, and other hospital records.

There is also a collection of old medical instruments from both specialties and a spectacle collection. The New England Ophthalmological Association houses its archival papers with the Mass. Eye and Ear Archives. Several times a year, visiting scholars use the archives for their research and, of course, members of the Mass. Eye and Ear community are welcome to use the collection.
