Retinal Development Research

Abnormalities in ocular development can lead to eye disease including microphthalmia, retinal degeneration and glaucoma.  Researchers at Mass. Eye and Ear are using model animal systems such as Drosophila (fruit fly) and Zebrafish to identify critical regulators of eye development.
