Maria Sousa

Research Technician
  Maria Sousa, Ocular Genomics Institute

Maria graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She assists Dr. Michael Farkas on the RNA Splicing Factor project by finding novel genes in human retinal transcriptome, using PCR and sequencing to validate them. Maria also researches novel exons in inherited retinal disease genes. In addition, Maria assists with various projects and helps with general lab maintenance. Maria hopes to attend graduate school within the next few years.
