Jingfa Zhang, Ph.D.
Research Fellow
Dr. Jingfa Zhang received his B.Sc in clinical medicine from Fudan University School of Medicine in Shanghai, China. He earned his Ph.D. from the Shanghai Institute for Biological Studies at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Prior to working at the OGI, Jingfa researched the protective effects of intraviteal injection of erythropoietin (EPO) on diabetic retinopathy. His findings were submitted as an e-poster in ARVO and selected first amongst the top 5 viewed. The abstract was also highlighted by the Review of Ophthalmology (Review of Ophthalmology 17(7): 53, 2010).
Dr. Zhang joined the Ocular Genomics Institute in 2011, where he is currently studying ciliopathy.
