Mark Consugar, M.S
Research Manager of the Ocular Genomics Institute
Mark received his B.S in chemistry and his B.A in biochemistry from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. He then obtained his Masters of Science in chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
Mark came to the Ocular Genomics Institute in 2011, where he studies Inherited Retinal Degenerations using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) methodologies, including targeted enrichment sequencing, exome sequencing, and whole genome sequencing. Mark is responsible for the management of all NGS projects as well as the supervision and coordination of NGS analysis and sample preparation training.
In addition to his research efforts, Mark manages the daily activities of the Pierce Lab.
