Research Summary

Dr. Turalba cares for patients with complex cataracts and glaucoma and focuses her clinical research on the epidemiology of glaucoma, specifically looking at the roles of trauma, environmental factors, and systemic disease. In particular, she is studying the clinical outcomes of traumatic glaucoma and traumatic hyphema. She also has investigated outcomes of various surgical techniques in glaucoma. Currently, she is studying patient attitudes and beliefs regarding glaucoma and its treatment.
