Research Summary

Dr. Song is a clinician scientist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He is part of the K12 Program and works under the guidance of Drs. Lloyd Paul Aiello and Louis Pasquale. His research focuses on the development and validation of a telemedical model for glaucoma screening and evaluation. Currently, he is conducting exploratory studies in optic nerve evaluation for glaucomatous features across various imaging modalities with the potential for remote glaucoma screening. In addition, he also is initiating a study comparing adjunct visual function tests with the potential to supplement nonmydriatic optic nerve imaging for teleglaucoma diagnosis.
