As the Director of the Ocular Trauma Service, Dr. Grob will be evaluating patient outcomes and surgical approaches to ocular trauma. Through her research, she hopes to improve patient outcomes and patient quality of life in the setting of eye trauma. Previously, Dr. Grob conducted research on the genetics of eye diseases, and the pharmacogenetics of treatment response to anti-VEGF therapy in macular degeneration. Specifically, she played an important role in identifying unique genetic mutations associated with familial eye diseases. She also has conducted research in collaboration with subspecialists in Mass. Eye and Ear’s Oculoplastics Service, spanning topics such as multiple myeloma, primary orbital malignancies, and emergent orbital neoplasms.
