Research Summary

Dr. Stacy investigates the clinical-pathological correlation of specimens that are first encountered in the Ocular Pathology laboratory at Mass. Eye and Ear. Her research has involved such topics as the clinical and histopathological characteristics of disease in patients with ocular adnexallymphomas. Her work showed that diffuse large 8-celllymphomas (DLBCLs) that are restricted to the orbit do not have the same dire prognosis as DLBCLs found systemically. Dr. Stacy also has contributed to several research projects regarding the Boston Keratoprosthesis. Currently, she is investigating the histopathological correlates of different clinical presentations of neuro-ophthalmic disease, her clinical subspecialty. These include tumors of the central nervous system and temporal arteritis.
