Dr. Paschalis' research at Mass. Eye and Ear extends to various areas of ophthalmology. His work involves improvements in the Boston Keratoprosthesis artificial comes, development of novel implantable glaucoma valves, and groundbreaking materials for vitreoretinal surgery based on nanotechnology. His recent research focus involves the mitigation of the ocular injuries following chemical burns, and, in particular, retinal neuroprotection.
