Dr. Bronstad is a cognitive psychologist specializing in low vision rehabilitation. He studies visual impairment to better understand the mechanisms underlying perception and to provide useful information to patients and practitioners about the effects of vision loss. He has studied the effects of vision loss on driving and has recently started a study of how strabismus may develop in pediatric hemianopia as a compensatory mechanism.
