Study Design
|
Tissue collection protocol. Tissue removed in corneal transplant is collected for laboratory analysis.

Study Objective
|
This investigation is studying how corneal endothelial cells are damaged in Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy.

Who is Eligible
|
Patients with Fuch’s Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy who are undergoing corneal transplant or DSEK.
|
|
Subject Enrollment
|
We are currently enrolling individuals who will undergo a corneal transplant surgery who have Fuch’s Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy.
|
|
Study Procedures
|
Before you undergo surgery, we will ask your permission to collect the tissue that is being removed. Normally, this tissue would be discarded, but with your permission, we will collect it and send it to our laboratories for research.
