Wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Clinical Trial
Seeking Study Participants for Wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Clinical Trial
We are looking for individuals with wet AMD to participate in a clinical trial of an investigational medication called Avastin. Preliminary studies of this medication suggest that it may help prevent the progression of wet AMD but further studies are necessary to determine if it works as well or better than an approved medication called Lucentis.
To be eligible, you must have wet AMD, which has not been treated. Qualified participants will receive Avastin or Lucentis on a monthly or “as needed” basis over a two-year period.
If you would like more information, please contact the study coordinator, Nick Emmanuel, at (617) 573-4382.
