Study Design

This is a Phase III multi-center medical device study.

Study Objective
|
To evaluate the efficacy of the AdaptDx, a device that measures dark adaptation and may be useful for early identification of individuals with AMD.
|
|
Who is Eligible
|
Individuals, 50 years of age and older, who have any type of age-related macular degeneration or healthy eyes.
|
|
Subject Enrollment
|
We are currently enrolling individuals who have dry age-related macular degeneration.
|
|
Study Procedures
|
A dark adaptation test using the AdaptDx will be administered to qualified subjects. Visual acuity tests and photographs of the eyes will also be taken. Most subjects will complete the study in a single visit but a small number of subjects will be asked to return to the hospital to repeat the tests.
