Boston, Mass. – For the 18th year, among those triumphantly crossing the finish line in Boston were the 53 members of Team Eye Ear, Mass Eye and Ears official charity team. In addition to months of training for the world-famous Boston Marathon, the team dedicated itself to raising over $600,000 well over the initial goal to support programs and research at Mass Eye and Ear. With each step, the team of staff, family members of former patients and supporters of the hospital bring us all closer to a healthier future for those who suffer from debilitating conditions affecting sight, hearing, voice, balance, taste and smell, and cancers of the eye, head and neck.

Everyone who is part of our community joins to celebrate them for this tremendous achievement and thank them for their support of our incredible institution,” said CarolAnn Williams, President of Mass Eye and Ear.

Since 2006, more than 900 Team Eye and Ear members have raised more than $7.8 million for research and patient care at Mass Eye and Ear. Team Eye and Ear members receive guaranteed race entries to the Boston Marathon, support from coaches, training programs and clinics as well as exclusive access to post race areas.  In addition to the Boston Marathon, Team Eye and Ear will also participate this year in the 2024 Falmouth Road Race.
