BOSTON, MASS. (Dec. 8, 2014) -- Ambika S. Hoguet, M.D., has joined Massachusetts Eye and Ear to provide care for adults and children with glaucoma.

Dr. Hoguet sees patients at two convenient locations: Mass. Eye and Ear, Boston, and Mass. Eye and Ear, Stoneham.
A full-time member of the Mass. Eye and Ear Glaucoma Service, Dr. Hoguet specializes in the diagnosis and management of primary and secondary glaucoma in adults and children.
After graduating from Stanford University with election into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Dr. Hoguet obtained her MD from Duke University. Subsequently, she completed her ophthalmology residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where she was appointed Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. Her clinical, surgical, and research interests in glaucoma and cataracts led her to pursue a glaucoma fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Hoguet conducts research on surgical innovations and techniques of glaucoma surgery, focusing on tube shunt surgery. Additionally, she is interested in the diagnosis, classification, and categorization of childhood glaucoma. Awarded numerous honors for her research, Dr. Hoguet has received a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Training Fellowship, a National Eye Institute Travel Grant for the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology annual meeting, and the Louis J. Girard Award for excellence in research during residency. She is a professional member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
