Investing in the people who will change medicine

An institution is world-class because of the quality of its people. All else is secondary.

The “Bold Science.,Life-Changing Cures” campaign includes funding opportunities in support of otolaryngology faculty and fellows. Endowed funds, where the principal is protected and the annual interest put to work, are resources that add core strength to research and clinical programs. Endowed chairs are critical to attracting and retaining the most capable and committed scientists, providing investigators with annual resources they can deploy when and where funds are most needed.

General support for faculty to jumpstart new programs or pursue promising lines of investigation is also crucial as we build the Center for Human Hearing and our Centers for Excellence.

Endowment for fellowships is equally important. By pairing the nation's best otolaryngology faculty with the brightest fellows, future leaders emerge.

The “Bold Science, Life-Changing Cures” campaign seeks funding for twelve endowed chairs, endowed fellowships and start-up funds for new recruits in many of our Centers of Excellence and the Center for Human Hearing to enable them to establish their new laboratories and continue their research efforts seamlessly.
