Symptoms of a voice or speech problem generally include hoarseness, a weak or “breathy” voice, difficulty projecting, and, when the voice is easily fatigued – deteriorating rapidly with use. Our center is dedicated solely to problems of the voice with staff uniquely qualified to manage problems for singers, actors, announcers, attorneys, and teachers. The lab is also specially equipped to work with patients who have lost their voice box to cancer - offering assistive equipment and specialized therapy to retrain patients to speak without vocal cords.
