Under the direction of Dr. Michael Boland, Mass Eye and Ear, Lexington provides comprehensive eye care and laser vision correction, as well as cornea, glaucoma, optometry, retina, and uveitis care.

Comprehensive Eye Care and Cataracts
The comprehensive ophthalmology services at Mass Eye and Ear, Waltham range from routine eye care, such as eye exams and treatment of dry eye, to treatment of complex diseases. Our specialists perform advanced cataract surgery using the latest technology, including the femtosecond laser for customized, precision cataract surgery.
Cornea
Our cornea specialists offer care to patients with corneal, eye surface and refractive disorders, including specialized diagnostic testing, treatment and advanced surgical procedures such as cornea transplantation and post care. Our expertise includes the leading-edge corneal cross-linking procedure to treat patients with keratoconus.
Glaucoma
We use the latest technology and resources to diagnose, treat and manage glaucoma disease. We are highly experienced in performing the latest surgical procedures, which offer patients shorter recovery times and a lowered risk of complications.
Laser Vision Correction
Our Waltham clinicians provide expert refractive surgery evaluations, using the most advanced techniques and technology available today. Procedures are performed on site, and include photo-refractive keratectomy (PRK) and laser in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK). Our specialists perform procedures using advanced, Opti-LASIK™ Laser Vision Correction technology.
Optometry and Contact Lens
Our optometry team provides routine eye care, as well as prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses. With extensive knowledge of contact lens fitting methods, techniques and the newest available lens modalities, our optometrists can expertly assess and prescribe contact lenses for many specialty uses.
Retina
Our retina team diagnoses and treats virtually all eye diseases affecting the vitreous, macula and retina. We combine surgical and medical expertise with best-in-class technology and resources that target age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal degenerations and detachments, and other retinal conditions.Uveitis

Mass Eye and Ear, Lexington is conveniently located minutes from Route 128/I-95 and Route 4 on Hartwell Avenue. Procedural appointments take place on the first floor, Suite 101. For all other appointments, take the elevator to the second floor, Suite 201.
