Visiting Professorships
The Department is proud to welcome eminent ophthalmologists who are performing cutting-edge work in their field around the world. Visiting Professors present engaging lectures during their stay. To facilitate continued exchange of information, additional forums are provided over the course of a visit.
Cornea Visiting Professors
The Cornea Service at Mass. Eye and Ear hosts a two-day visiting professor lecture series for lectures and case presentations up to four times per year. On the first day, at 4:00pm, cornea fellows present interesting cases within the visiting professor’s area of expertise, with live patient examinations, and at 5:30pm the visiting professor delivers a lecture. On the second day, the visiting professor delivers a lecture to the residents from 8:00-9:00am.

Pediatric Ophthalmology Professor Series
Held at Boston Children’s Hospital,

Karp 11 Conference Room
This lecture series invites faculty who are leaders in the field of pediatric eye disease and strabismus, to raise awareness of the speakers’ works and establish productive interactions. The visiting professors give lectures and interact with faculty, residents, and students.
