Research at MEEI
The Department maintains an active basic and applied research program in a broad range of areas, including otology, otopathology, immunohistochemistry, biochemistry, physiology and anatomy of the larynx, voice disorders, immunology of the ear, applications of laser technology, cochlear implantation, physiology of the auditory system and molecular biology of head and neck cancer. Many of the clinical faculty are actively engaged in research projects and, in addition, there is a large contingent of full-time research faculty. All laboratories are available for resident participation in research training.
