Adult and Pediatric Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat Care)
Mass. Eye and Ear, Newton provides a wide range of ENT services to both adult and pediatric patients. Our close working relationship with the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary’s Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology gives us the opportunity not only to care for pediatric patients’ routine ear, nose and throat problems, but to offer the experience and expertise of Mass. Eye and Ear’s pediatric otolaryngologists for more complex medical and surgical problems.
In addition to general otolaryngology services, subspecialists provide expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, head and neck surgical oncology, and otology and neurotology. Otolaryngologists coordinate the care of patients with head and neck malignancies with our medical and radiation oncologists. A multidisciplinary team has recently been assembled to treat patients with malignant melanoma, utilizing sentinel lymph node mapping.
Cosmetic and Reconstructive Facial Plastics
The cosmetic procedures performed here are designed with the individual in mind. As experts in this area, our facial cosmetic surgeon is committed to creating a natural and individual result for each patient.
The minute and delicate movements of the face make it that much more important for your facial cosmetic surgeon to have the expertise and experience to fully understand each surgical technique. Understanding the aging process and how the passage of time will change the results of a surgery is a critical part of how our surgeon approaches these treatments.
After trauma, surgery or illness, the face can be affected both in appearance and in function. Our physicians have the experience and expertise to reconstruct facial structures for a return to full functionality and comfort with one’s outside appearance.
Our facial plastic surgeon is board-certified in both Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This training makes his expertise absolutely critical for rebuilding major structures in the face and reshaping them for a return to one’s original appearance.
