Dr. Matt Goodman is a full-time optometrist in the Optometry and Contact Lens Service who provides primary eye care services, such as routine eye exams, glasses and contact lens prescriptions, and vision care. With extensive experience fitting scleral contact lenses, he specializes in fitting contact lenses to adults and children with corneal disease, post penetrating keratoplasty, keratoprosthesis, aphakia, and ocular trauma.
After graduating from Pacific University with a B.S. in Vision Sciences, Dr. Goodman remained there and earned his O.D. with high distinction. He received several awards, including a Dean's Scholarship and the Peg Gilbert Award, which is awarded to students of exceptional scientific merit. Subsequently, he completed an optometry residency in Harvard Medical School's Department of Ophthalmology, where he received training in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, contact lenses, and vision rehabilitation.
