During her residency, Dr. Chan designed and collected data for a study investigating socially significant strabismus in a culturally diverse population. She was also a clinical investigator for a study on Contact Lenses in Pediatric (CLIP), and a study comparing field measures of refraction to gold standard eye exams in a rural population for use in the developing world. She is currently investigating factors that contribute to the social significance of strabismus.
Dr. Chan has been awarded the Ira Schwartz Behavioral Vision Award for excellence in pediatric optometry, as well as the AOF Terrance Ingraham Pediatric Optometry Residency Award.
