For anyone living with a chronic condition or providing care for someone else, participation in a support group can offer many benefits. The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is forming an Eye Thyroid (Graves’ Disease) Support Group, which will hold its next meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on March 25, 2010 in the 7th floor cafeteria, 243 Charles Street, Boston. The group will allow members to express their concerns about this chronic illness to help form a social connection with others and improve coping skills. The open forum gives members the opportunity to exchange information about Graves’ disease and gives physician speakers a chance to inform members of the latest treatments. This program is free.
