Cornea Center of Excellence Visiting Professor Lecture Series

Course Directors: Reza Dana, MD, MPH, MSc, FARVO and Ula V. Jurkunas, MD

The HMS Ophthalmology Cornea Center of Excellence hosts a visiting professor lecture series that draws distinguished faculty from around the country. On the first day, at 4:00 pm, Cornea fellows present interesting cases within the visiting professor’s area of expertise, with live patient examinations, and at 5:30 pm the visiting professor delivers a lecture. In some cases, the visiting professor delivers a lecture on the following day to the residents from 8:00-9:00 am.

Pediatric Ophthalmology Visiting Professor Lecture Series

This lecture series invites faculty who are leaders in the field of pediatric eye disease and strabismus, to raise awareness of the speakers’ works and establish productive interactions. The visiting professors give lectures and interact with faculty, residents, and students.

The Chandler Professorship was established to honor the exceptional teaching, research, and service of Dr. Paul Chandler during his tenure at Mass. Eye and Ear, where he mentored two generations of ophthalmologists interested in glaucoma.
