Musical Guest: Ellis Hall
Known as the Ambassador of Soul, Ellis Hall is ready to rock the Sense-ation! Gala to support pediatric programs and research at Mass. Eye and Ear, the hospital where he received treatment as a child. Ellis, a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist with a dynamic five-octave range, has appeared on over 40 albums for greats such as Stevie Wonder, James Taylor and Kenny G. Ellis is the protege of the legendary Ray Charles, who signed him as the only other artist on Charles’ record label. Though he became blind at age 18, Ellis never lost his verve for making music and living life to the fullest.
Honorary Chair & Host: Joey McIntyre
Mass. Eye and Ear is pleased to once again welcome performer Joey McIntyre. As parents of a child with severe hearing loss, Joey and his wife, Barrett, are passionate about the mission of Mass. Eye and Ear and have been ardent supporters of Sense-ation! and the Curing Kids Fund since its launch in 2010.
Joey became an icon as part of the pop phenomenon New Kids on the Block, selling more than 80 million albums worldwide. Joey’s six solo albums and his vast stage and screen resume, ranging from a season regular on “Boston Public” to a successful stint in the Broadway production of “Wicked,” display his versatility as a performer.
